They're back! The band with the sole distinction of having been invited to play at every previous KahBang Festival is back for more! The Gay Blades will headline the Kickoff Concert for the 2011 KahBang Music|Art|Film Festival on Saturday, August 6th in Westmarket Square. The event is open to the public, but VIP Pass holders will be given priority seating, closest to the stage.
The day will feature performances by several bands, including the winner of the "Kickoff to KahBang" Competition powered by OurStage.com. In addition the Kickoff Concert will include multiple beer gardens, vendors and more. The event is being staged congruently with the WLBZ 2 Sidewalk Art Festival with over 80 artists displaying their work downtown from 9Am to 4PM on Main Street and Pickering Square.

he Kickoff Concert begins at 2PM, with the headliners anticipated to go on around 9PM. Directly following the conclusion of the concert, Ipanema Bar & Grill will host the Kickoff After-Party with a musical performance by local favorites The 220's.
